Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 but if it weighs less, one will be lost forever in hell. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 He will say, "Be quiet and say nothing." 108 "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' ” 109 but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laughing at them. 110 On this day I have given them their reward for their exercising patience and it is they who have triumphed." 111 He (Allah) will say: "What number of years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
