The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 has created man, 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
