Al-Baqarah 5 of 40
O children of Israel, remember the favours I bestowed on you. So keep your pledge to Me, and I will mine to you, and be fearful of Me, 40 Believe in that which I have [now] bestowed from on high, confirming the truth already in your possession, and be not foremost among those who deny its truth; and do not barter away My messages for a trifling gain; and of Me, of Me be conscious 41 And do not confound the truth with vanity, and do not conceal the truth wittingly. 42 And establish prayer, and give the poor-rate, and bow down with those who bow down. 43 ۞ Would you order righteousness on others and forget it yourselves? Yet you recite the Book, have you no sense? 44 And seek help in patience and prayer; and truly it is hard except for those who prostrate before Me with sincerity. 45 Who know that they will have to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are returning. 46
