Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 The evil-doers are victims of error and madness. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned? 51 And all what they did is in the Books. 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
