Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
