Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and the partitioners, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
