(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
