۞ Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 53 Hence, turn towards your Sustainer [alone] and surrender yourselves unto Him ere the suffering [of death and resurrection] comes upon you, for then you will not be succoured. 54 Follow the best of what is revealed to you from your Lord before the torment suddenly approaches you and you will not realize how it came about. 55 Lest any soul should say: 'Sadly, I have neglected my duty to Allah and was of those that mocked' 56 Or say: "If only God had guided me I would have been a man of fear and piety;" 57 Or, lest when it sees the punishment should say: 'O that I might return, and be among those that did good' 58 'Indeed, My verses did come to you, but you belied them. You were proud and became one of the unbelievers' 59 On the Day of Judgment you will see the faces of those who had invented falsehood against God blackened. Is not hell the dwelling of the arrogant ones? 60 And Allah will save those who feared Him by their attainment; no evil will touch them, nor will they grieve. 61 Allah is the Creator of every thing and He has charge over every thing. 62 For Him only are the keys of the heavens and the earth; and those who denied the signs of Allah – it is they who are the losers. 63
