Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
