(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 He plunged the villages 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
