The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 has created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
