The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Of what ask they? 1 (Is it) of the great announcement 2 Concerning which they are in disagreement. 3 By no means! anon they shall know. 4 again, no indeed; soon will they come to know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a place to rest 6 and the mountains [its] pegs? 7 and created you in pairs (as men and women), 8 And have appointed your sleep for repose, 9 And made the night as clothing 10 And We made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And We have builded over you seven strong heavens. 12 and We appointed a blazing lamp 13 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water, 14 So that We bring forth thereby corn and vegetation. 15 And dense gardens. 16 Verily the Day of Decision is a time appointed. 17 the Day when the Trumpet shall be blown, and you will come forth in multitudes; 18 and when the sky shall be opened up and will become all doors; 19 And the mountains shall be moved off so that they shall remain a mere semblance. 20 [On that Day,] verily, hell will lie in wait [for those who deny the truth] 21 For the transgressors, a place of return, 22 where they shall remain for ages, 23 They will not taste therein cool or any drink. 24 save boiling water and a stinking fluid -- 25 as a fitting recompense for their deeds. 26 Indeed they had no fear of the account. 27 They called Our revelations false with strong denial. 28 and everything We have numbered in a Book. 29 [So We shall say], "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
