The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and so am I: 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
