When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 and then my breast will be straitened and my tongue will not be free: send, then, [this Thy command] to Aaron. 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 The Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up in our home as an infant and did you not live with us for many years 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Fir'awn said: and what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 (Firon) said to those around him: Do you not hear? 25 Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of yore." 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: Produce it then, if thou art of the truthful! 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. 33
