He it is who sendeth down from the heaven water for you, wherefrom is drinking and wherefrom are trees whereas ye pasture your herds. 10 With it He causes to grow for you the crops, the olives, the date-palms, the grapes, and every kind of fruit. Verily! In this is indeed an evident proof and a manifest sign for people who give thought. 11 And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense. 12 And there are also Signs for those who take heed in the numerous things of various colours that He has created for you on earth. 13 And it is He Who subjected the sea for you, so you eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments from it which you wear; and you see ships ploughing through it and in order that you may seek His munificence and that you may give thanks. 14 He set firm mountains upon the earth lest it should shake with you; and rivers, and roads, in order that you are guided. 15 The stars and other signs also help people to find their way. 16 Is then the One Who creates like the one who does not create? Will you not, then, take heed? 17 If you tried to count God's blessings, you would never be able to number them. God is ever forgiving and most merciful. 18 and God knows all that you keep secret as well as all that you bring into the open. 19 Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. 20 Dead are they, not alive; and they perceive not when they will be raised up. 21
