'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 And ease for me my task 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
