Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 [inflicted on them] by Pharaoh, seeing that he was truly outstanding among those who waste their own selves; 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Even then they say: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
