Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 that hide, 16 by the night swarming, 17 And the breath of morning 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
