The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
