Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity? 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 In a lofty garden, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 raised couches, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
