3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
