Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3

And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 Yet these say: 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
