Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 covered down upon them, 8 In columns outstretched. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
