He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
