And recall what time We settled Ibrahim in the place of the House, Saying: associate not thou with Me aught, and purify My House for these who circumambulate and those who stand up and those who bow and make prostration. 26 And proclaim among men the Pilgrimage: they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, coming from every remote path, 27 so that they may witness its benefit for them and, on the appointed days may utter the name of God over the cattle He has provided for them. Then eat their flesh, and feed the distressed and the needy -- 28 Thereafter, let them tidy up and fulfil their vows and circumambulate the Ancient House." 29 Such (is the Pilgrimage): whoever honours the sacred rites of Allah, for him it is good in the Sight of his Lord. Lawful to you (for food in Pilgrimage) are cattle, except those mentioned to you (as exception): but shun the abomination of idols, and shun the word that is false,- 30 As the upright servants of God, do not consider anything equal to God. To consider things equal to God is like one falling from the sky who is snatched away by the birds or carried away by a strong wind to a far distant place. 31 To respect the symbols of God is the sign of a pious heart. 32 In the cattle are benefits for you up to a fixed time and then they are to be brought to the Free House. 33
