Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
