Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 separating one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
