Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
