And said the leaders of his people, who disbelieved and denied the confronting of the Hereafter – and We had given them comfort in the worldly life – that, “He is nothing but a human like you, he eats from what you eat and drinks from what you drink.” 33 “If you were to obey a human like yourselves, then surely you are losers!” 34 “Does he promise you that when you die and turn into dust and bones, you will be raised again?” 35 ۞ “How remote, (really) how remote is the promise you are given!” 36 There is nothing but our present life; we die, and we live, and we shall not be resurrected. 37 This man has forged a mere lie in the name of Allah and we shall never believe what he says." 38 He said, “My Lord! Help me as they deny me.” 39 [Allah] said, "After a little, they will surely become regretful." 40 So the (Awful) Cry overtook them rightfully, and We made them like as wreckage (that a torrent hurleth). A far removal for wrongdoing folk! 41 AND AFTER them We gave rise to new generations: 42 No nation can outstrip its term, nor can it put it back. 43 then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time their messenger came to a people, they rejected him. So We destroyed them one after the other, and let them become mere tales. So away with the people who will not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest, 45 to Pharaoh and his Council, but they were very proud, and they were a tyrannical nation. 46 And they said: Shall we put faith in two mortals like ourselves, and whose folk are servile unto us? 47 Then they belied the twain; so they became of those who were destroyed. 48 for, indeed, We had vouchsafed revelation unto Moses in order that they might find the right way. 49 And We made the son of Marium and his mother a sign, and We gave them a shelter on a lofty ground having meadows and springs. 50
