3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
