And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
