Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
