The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and gently take it away; 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
