The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
