The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you have no fear of God? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied, "Are we to believe in you when your followers are but the lowest of the low?" 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 I am naught but a plain warner. 115 They said, “O Nooh, if you do not desist you will surely be stoned.” 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
