The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 The mountains made to move, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 where then are you going? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
