Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
