Abraham was (equal to) a nation, obedient to Allah, of pure faith and was not among the idolaters, 120 he was thankful for His blessings. God chose him and guided him to a straight path. 121 We gave him blessings in this world, and in the Hereafter he shall be among the righteous. 122 We sent you, (Muhammad), a revelation that you should follow the tradition of Abraham, the upright one, who was not a pagan. 123 The Sabbath was ordained only for those who differed about it. On the Day of Resurrection, your Lord will decide the differences that were between them. 124 Call (the pagans) to the path of your Lord through wisdom and good advice and argue with them in the best manner. God knows well about those who stray from His path and those who seek guidance. 125 And if you chastise, chastise even as you have been chastised; and yet assuredly if you are patient, better it is for those patient. 126 And be patient and your patience is not but by (the assistance of) Allah, and grieve not for them, and do not distress yourself at what they plan. 127 Allah is with the cautious and those who do good. 128
