۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 and they have enraged us, 55 "But we are host all assembled, amply forewarned." 56 So We turned them out of gardens and springs, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound. 63 We also brought the other party close to the same spot, 64 and We saved Moses and all who were with him, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
