Hizb 38
< random >
The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122
