And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Quran Verse 35:45). 30 And ye cannot frustrate His punishment in the earth; and there is for you beside Allah neither protector nor helper. 31 And among His signs are the ships that run on the sea like mountains and 32 He could stop the wind if He pleased, then they would be stranded on its surface. Surely there are signs in this for every one who perseveres and is grateful. 33 Or He may destroy them (by drowning) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much. 34 and that those who dispute concerning Our signs may know they have no asylum. 35 Whatever thing you have been given is the enjoyment of the present life; but what is with God is better and more enduring for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. 36 And those who avoid heinous sins and indecencies, and when they are wroth forgive. 37 Who obey the commands of their Lord and fulfil their devotional obligations, whose affairs are settled by mutual consultation, who spend of what We have given them, 38 And those who, when great wrong is done to them, defend themselves, 39 The guerdon of an ill-deed is an ill the like thereof. But whosoever pardoneth and amendeth, his wage is the affair of Allah. Lo! He loveth not wrong-doers. 40 And there is no way of reproach against those who take revenge after being wronged. 41 The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment. 42 And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah. 43
