The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
