3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
