Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They slept little in the night, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
