Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 to burn therein. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
