This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 This is how We have made the habit of denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
