۞ Say thou: my bondmen who have committed extravagance against themselves despair not of the mercy of Allah; verily Allah will forgive the sins altogether. Verily He! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. 53 And return to your Lord time after time and submit to Him before there comes to you the punishment, then you shall not be helped. 54 And follow the better (guidance) of that which is revealed unto you from your Lord, before the doom cometh on you suddenly when ye know not, 55 Lest a soul should say: Alas! for that I have been remiss in respect of Allah, and I was but of the scoffers! 56 Or it should say: Had Allah guided me, I would certainly have been of those who guard (against evil); 57 "Or (lest) it should say when it (actually) sees the penalty: 'If only I had another chance, I should certainly be among those who do good!' 58 (But now the answer will be): Nay, for My revelations came unto thee, but thou didst deny them and wast scornful and wast among the disbelievers. 59 And upon the Day of Resurrection thou shalt see those who lied against God, their faces blackened; is there not in Gehenna a lodging for those that are proud? 60 And Allah will deliver those who feared Him to their place of safety. Evil will not touch them, nor will they grieve. 61 Allah is Creator of all things, and He is Guardian over all things. 62 To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. It is those who disbelieve in Allah's Signs who will be the losers. 63
