Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha'. Mim. 1 'Ain-Sin-Qaf. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 2 Thus Allah the Mighty, the Knower inspireth thee (Muhammad) as (He inspired) those before thee. 3 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and He is the Most High, the Most Great. 4 The skies are near to bursting asunder above them (for awe of Him), and the angels sing the praises of their Lord, imploring forgiveness for the dwellers of the earth. Is it not that God is forgiving and merciful? 5 And those who have taken to them protectors apart from Him -- God is Warden over them; thou art not a guardian over them. 6 And thus We have inspired in thee a Lecture in Arabic, that thou mayst warn the mother-town and those around it, and mayst warn of a day of assembling whereof there is no doubt. A host will be in the Garden, and a host of them in the Flame. 7 Had God so willed, He could have made all of them one community, but He admits into His mercy whom He wills; and the wrongdoers have neither protector, nor helper. 8 Or have they taken to them protectors apart from Him? But God -- He is the Protector; He quickens the dead, and He is powerful over everything. 9
