The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
