Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? 6 And (how) We have spread the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and have grown all kinds of beautiful pairs in it? 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 Before them, the nation of Noah, the nation of ArRass belied and so did Thamood 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
